Awareness Through Education #12 – Extended Transition  

It’s a busy time of year and everyone is thinking towards 2023. Many students are beginning to wonder about their new teacher, class and learning space, and this can cause feelings of excitement and anxiety. 

While they mightn’t know who their new teacher and classmates are just yet, teachers in every year level have begun to ‘preload’ students using a strategic transition plan. The Year 4 team for example, have taken the opportunity to work in the Senior Learning Community to familiarise the students with the open plan environment. 

Using the plan as a guide below, you might like to take the opportunity to discuss transition with your child/ren and continue to ‘pre load’ for a smoother start to 2023.
