Lunch Orders
The late lunch order options is now live! Remember, this is a limited menu.
If you miss getting your orders in by Wednesday, you will now have a limited menu to choose from, with cut off being 9am Friday morning of the lunch order day.
We please ask that parents please stop going into Groove to place lunch orders and only use the app. This is causing some confusion with orders, and we would hate for your child's order to be missed-placed or overlooked. Any one who goes into Groove to place orders will be asked by staff to refer to the app to place the order there. Orders will no longer be accepted over the counter.
We thank you again for using this service, and we hope your kids are enjoying their delicious homemade lunches. Tony, Ivy and the team are working tirelessly each week to get these out for us.
PE News
Year 3-6 Swimming.
The 3-6 Swimming Sports will run on Monday 5th December at Kardinia Aquatic Centre. Buses will depart school at 9am and students will return in time for the normal dismissal. The Year 3-6’s have all entered their events for the day, with all the mainstream events to take place along with some more novel events to ensure a great day is had by all.
Parents are all very welcome to attend.
Students will need to ensure they bring along the following:
- Bathers.
- A House coloured Swim Cap (available for purchase at the office for $3.50).
- I recommend a couple of towels.
- House t-shirt.
- Lunch/snack/water.
- Sunscreen/jacket depending on the weather.
We look forward to a cracking day, with plenty of sunshine!
Working Bee
The School would like to invite OGPS parents, family members and friends to help with a Working Bee on Sunday 11 December. The multi-stage project aims as revitalising the current Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden and the surrounding area near the SLC.
Stage 1 will consist of tidying, gardening, and establishing foundations for several retaining walls and garden beds. Trade skills including bricklaying, cementing and landscaping would be helpful, however, anyone who is willing to assist with manual labour would be most welcome.
The Working Bee will commence at 9:00am and will finish at approximately lunchtime with a small BBQ. More details to come via Seesaw including a request for expressions of interest.
Many thanks, Sebastian Earle and Julian Teague.
Gateway Plaza Leopold- Wrapping Paper
A big thank you to those students who used their colouring talents a few weeks ago to design Christmas decorations for Gateway Plaza Leopold. Their designs have been made into festive wrapping paper just in time for Christmas.
The paper will be in the centre from the 18th of December at their wrapping station – all wrapping is a gold coin donation and proceeds will be donated to The Smith Family. Please head into Leopold and not only have a look, but have your gifts wrapped with the gorgeous wrapping paper with your children’s artwork.

STATEMENTS
Statements were sent home in the last two weeks. There has been a bit of confusion around them with credits showing as a negative figure ( - ). If your statement has a minus next to the totals at the bottom of the statement (see below) it means you have credit that can be spent on future invoices. This can be kept on your account for the following year or refunded if needed. If you’re unsure, make contact with the office on 5255 1340 as we’ll be happy to explain.
