Amber Ferraro

I have been Scoresby Secondary College's Singing teacher since 2017, which marks the first year of my teaching career. 

It has been such a pleasure to work with every single student that has walked into my office. 

I graduated from Monash University with. Bachelor of Music, Majoring in Music Performance and Jazz Improvisation. 

When I'm not teaching singing I am the front woman for a well known Melbourne Disco band Called 'Honey'. 

We have been fortunate enough to have our music played on RRR and PBS radio as well as play to large festival crowds at Golden Plains (10,000 people) and Strawberry Fields (3000 people). 

We are well known at The Night Cat in Fitzroy, often selling out the 500 capacity venue. 

I'm also the lead singer in a collective called 'Sunshine and The Disco Faith Choir' which is a mash up of techno and gospel music. 

I featured on a cover of 'Dreams' by Fleetwood Mac with this collective. This Cover reached Number 3 on the Aria Club Charts. 

Another song called 'The Ride' which I Co-Wrote with Sunshine and Jan Skubiszewski 

(John Butler, Dan Sultan, A.B Original, Meg Mac, Cat Empire) also came within the top 10 on the Aria Club Charts. 

I have also had the absolute privilege of working with the likes of Kate Cebrano and Felix Reibl (Cat Empire) as a backup and sessional singer. 

I feel very passionate about letting kids know that they absolutely can make a living out of music. I am a walking testament to this and love passing on my knowledge.
