FoSP
Friends of Somerville PS
FoSP (Friends of Somerville Primary) is a parent group that meets throughout the term to organise fundraising to continue to improve our wonderful school. We will be holding a meeting on Monday 22nd February at 9.00am in the staffroom for planning for the year, all welcome! 👍👍
So far this year we have booked in:
🌈 COLOUR FUN RUN(students only due to Covid restrictions - no parents will be permitted on site for the event)🌈 on Friday 12th March
🥙 Meal Deal🥙 on Friday 26th March
✨Easter Raffle✨ drawn on Thursday 1st April
More information will be sent home soon.
SUSTAINABILITY
We have many awesome plans to continue becoming more sustainable throughout the whole school. We STILL need ice-cream containers to collect water under our drinking taps and recycle it on our gardens. If you have any ice-cream containers you could donate please bring them to Mrs Harvey’s office. Watch this space for our sustainability information throughout the year.
REMARKABLE READING
Don’t forget to start filling in your reading nights. Great to see students already coming in to show me their 25 nights of reading and some have already reached 50 nights!!!!!! Remember 40 nights this term will get you class party.
LOCKDOWN WORK
Great to see some of the wonderful things going on during lockdown. Thank you to our families for sharing some of the wonderful work kids got up to to continue with their learning.
SuperStar
What a lovely gesture from our gorgeous grade 1 student Summar. She used her own pocket money to buy some groceries to give to a family in need. Summar and her sister Ella came to school to deliver the groceries in their own little trolleys. What a superstar you are Summar!!!
