Principal's News - Welcome Back

Week 1

Great to be back

Dear Parents and Friends,

After our very challenging year last year I imagine most of us are very happy that the school year has begun and our children are back learning in their classrooms and playing with their friends. Whilst I am sure we all love the holidays, especially our children, and dread the end of these, there is something very special about coming together as a school community. On Thursday morning as we opened the school gates for the first time in 2021 it reminded me why so many teachers choose this wonderful profession. Seeing so many smiling faces and hearing the conversation and laughter of all your children, as they proudly returned to school to start a new journey of learning with their teachers was an absolute delight.

Today is officially just my third day as a member of this school community and I can truly say that I have already been made to feel very welcome by parents, children and staff and I am quickly beginning to feel at home here at Trinity.

On Monday, our Preps, the very newest of our students, will join us for their first day of school. No doubt there will be some nerves (possibly more so from parents)  but I am extremely confident that our amazing Prep teachers and our confident Year Ones will make them feel very  comfortable quickly.  We hope that as many of our Prep parents as possible can stay for a coffee/tea and chat after the bell under the shade next to the library.  Looking forward to our first full week together from Monday.

Kind Regards

Mr Nigel Rodrigues
