Bread Tags for Wheelchairs
Update of our Environmental Challenge for the Year!
Our whole school environmental challenge of collecting bread tags to assist disadvantaged people in South Africa as well as recycling is STILL going strong!
More and more bread tags are coming in daily, thanks to the fantastic support of St Simon’s families and social media. People from all parts of Victoria are sending us bread tags!
A big thank you to one of our lovely Learning Support Officers Elise McLelland for spreading the word in the wider community!
Congratulations, we have collected 13,582 bread tags!
A big thank you to all the beautiful Grade 1 children who have been assisting me in counting all the bread tags over the last few weeks. Another great opportunity for students to apply Mathematics to real life. We are surrounded by maths!
Please feel free to hand in your bread tags throughout this term. Students can place their bread tags in their classroom office tub in an envelope.
Please help us reach our school goal of 15,000 bread tags by the end of this term!
Well done St Simon’s!
