Canteen News

We are excited to announce that our Canteen is now open for business.  We welcome Maggie & Lyn from Jude Foods to the DCC Community are excited to see what yummy foods they will be preparing for us this year.

Orders can be placed very easily via the QKR App. To set yourself up for online ordering , have a read of the flyer below.

Camp, Sport & Excursions Funding

Do you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent? If so, you may be eligible for Camp, Sport & Excursion Funding (CSEF).

This allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

You only need to apply if:

  • your child has started or changed schools in 2021 or you did not apply in 2020.
  • your family circumstances have changed eg. change of custody, change of name, concession card number or new siblings commencing at the school this year.

Check with a member of the Administration team if you are unsure.

Attendance

Did you know that absences can be entered directly into Compass by Parents/Carers? This is our preferred method of communication, however Parents/Carers can also contact the school to discuss attendance issues or report a student absence (preferably before 8.40 am).

Late arrival procedures

All students arriving late to school (ie. after 9.00am) should be signed in by a Parent at the Administration Office. Please note that parents will not be allowed to walk their child to the classroom whilst current social distancing restrictions are in place.

Early Leaver procedures

All parents wishing to collect their child/ren early (ie. before 2.50pm Prep, 2, 5 & 6 students or 3.00pm for Yr 1, 3 & 4 students) must report to the Administration Office. Students will then be called to the office for collection. Parents are not permitted to collect their children from the classroom.

It is always preferred that prior notice is provided to the school for any early leaver requests so that arrangements can be made for your child to be waiting for you at the office.

Uniform - don't forget to label!!

Just a reminder to ensure that all pieces of your child's uniform are labelled securely with your child's name. This will ensure that any items that are placed in the lost property box make their way back to your child.

Updating Contact Details
