Cam Smith (STEAM and Team Leader)

I am an enthusiastic teacher who is motivated to help children learn and achieve positive outcomes. I am also just as interested in seeing a child develop their character so that they are in a better position to problem solve, think critically, make informed life decisions and make a positive contribution to the community. My hobbies include sports, music, photography, cooking and taking care of my cat, Popcorn. I love working at SMPS and am excited for the 2021 school year. Bring it on!

Paul Creasey (Music)

Hi awesome SMPS students, I am Mr. Paul. I am the South Melbourne Primary School Music Teacher. This will be my fourth year at SMPS. I started teaching at our school when it first opened at the beginning of 2018. It has been amazing to see our school grow so quickly into the great place that it is. I have really enjoyed teaching so many fantastic kids and working with an amazing group of teachers at South Melbourne Primary School. I have a lot of passion for building a strong sense of community in our school. I hope to continue to engage mums, dads and family members in the music program. I look forward to seeing what 2021 brings for our school!

Callum Freel (PE)

Hey SMPS community, I am Mr. Callum and I have been here at South Melbourne since it’s very first year in 2018.  I’m from the UK and my soccer (football) team is West Ham United. I love playing and learning new sports and games but my favourites are soccer and basketball. I can’t wait for the Olympics this year after being postponed from last year. I’m really looking forward to having our own Olympics here at South Melbourne along with various other events and competitions throughout the year. When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending my time outside going on hikes or camping. I can’t wait for what this year brings, bring on 2021! 

Lucy Lu (LOTE Mandarin)

Hi South Melbourne families and friends, I’m Miss Lucy. This will be my third year at South Melbourne Primary School. I’m a passionate Mandarin teacher, bringing the Chinese culture to both new language learners as well as students who may speak Chinese at home. I believe in engaging students in a dynamic classroom environment, teaching Mandarin by promoting and encouraging our students to be confident and active learners. Outside of school time, I enjoy reading history books and watching movies. I am very excited to continue at South Melbourne Primary School and meet all the families and community members in 2021.

Angus Williams (STEAM and PE)

Hey South Melbourne PS community, my name is Mr Angus. I will be teaching STEAM and PE this year at SMPS and cannot wait to have an amazing 2021, especially as this is my first year teaching. I am very excited to become a member of the SMPS community and learn all about your children’s interest’s and hobbies. My interests are sport (particularly soccer, cricket, Formula 1), travel and constantly learning about the world. I value being kind and honest to those around us, and in my classroom I will encourage each student to consider these values to practise in their everyday lives. I can’t wait to have a great year at SMPS with you all.
