Year 11 Design & Technology Excursion - Powerhouse Museum

Our Year 11 class travelled to the Powerhouse Museum, where we attended a seminar that was led by a NESA HSC marker, Scott. 

Scott informed us of the requirements we need in order to achieve a Band 6 for our Major Design Project (MDP) and Folio. After Scott passed on his knowledge to us, we had a look at past MDP’s and assessed them. 

We then made our way to a Masters class, where we learnt the value of sustainability and new innovative ways of reusing and recycling products. After that we took a leisurely stroll around the streets of Sydney, where we admired the architecture of Frank Gehry and Jean Nouvel. We then stumbled across Spice Alley and blessed our tastebuds with Asian cuisine. 

To further our Design and Technology minds, we investigated and interacted with some new and emerging technology at Time Zone. We then hastily made our way to the train station, where we debriefed on the immaculate day we had experienced.
