VCAL in the Community

Year 12 VCAL students have been busy in the workshop this Semester building animal shelters. This has helped them satisfy the criteria for Senior Work skills Unit 1 Outcome 3 “Undertake a self-directed, complex OHS project”.

Some of these projects have been donated to Macedon Ranges Health to pass onto clients within their Home & Community Care program for Younger People (under 65) Program (HACC PYP). This program aims at providing support for people who have fallen on hardship due to short term or chronic health needs, people who may be experiencing psychosocial issues or people who are not eligible for or awaiting entry into the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Bernice Mathers HACC PYP Coordinator for Macedon Ranges Health recently visited GSC to accept our donation of a Dog Kennel and Cat Gym from Lily, Sean, Brock & Reuben.
