Nihon no Oishii Matsuri: Delicious!

九月五日-八日   September 5-8

Dear Parents and Friends,

We are pleased to announce that Week 9 of this term is the time to showcase Japanese language and culture at OLA with our famous…

日本まつり (Nihon Matsuri) or Japanese Festival!

Our theme for the festival this year is

「おいしい」(Oishii) which means “Delicious!”.

Leading up to our Nihon no Oishii Matsuri, we have lots of exciting things in the offering. There will lots of competitions such as a newletter competition, a poster competition, a trivia competition, a ‘teach your teacher’ competition and  a ‘kyaraben’ competition. What’s that? Don’t know what a ‘kyaraben’ is? Don’t worry. By the end of this term, you definitely will. Who knows? You may even want to help your children with their entry.

The children have been SO busy learning lots of Japanese language and culture. Furthermore, we have been busy practicising for our concert where there will be lots of dancing, singing, acting, taiko, instrumentals, choir appearances and so much more.

We can’t wait to show you what we can do in Japanese. So, pop September 5-9 in your diaries and stay tuned!
