STATE CHAMPIONSHIP CROSS COUNTRY

We are so proud of Andi who represented us at the Victorian State Championships for Cross Country on Thursday. What an amazing effort!!! Our first student who has made it to this level. Andi came in 5th and will now represent us at Nationals in Adelaide at the end of August. Incredible!!

She had a cheer fan at State. Thank you to Lulli, Kristy and the Divisional Team for attending. And she had a great welcome back to school with balloons, signs and the whole school to congratulate her. Well done Andi! We are so proud of you!

JUNIOR TAEKWONDO

Thanks to a Sporting Schools grant we are in the midst of organising Taekwondo Clinics for our Juniors. We are hoping they will take place in Week 4, 5 and Week 8 and 9.

The clinic days will be the same as previous terms:

Monday  LS3

Tuesday  LS2

Friday      LS1

Once confirmed, parents will be able to find additional information via Operoo. We ask parents to ensure all Juniors are wearing their sports uniform and bring their drink bottle on their clinic days.

Students have already met to indicate their interest in the events they would like to try out for. Try outs will occur on Tuesdays 2nd lunch. I will advertise which events we are trying out for in Morning Gathering. It is the student’s responsibility to attend the try outs.

If your child was absent for the meeting to express their interest, please email me at gfaiola@sfslynbrook.catholic.edu.au including your child’s name, home group, age as of the 31st of December this year and indicating which event your child would like to try out for.
