The highly anticipated BSC Senior MasterChef Challenge was completed this term - with our senior students vying to win the coveted BSC Golden Spoons!

Twenty four students from across Years 10,11 & 12 took part.  Some extremely enthusiastic competitors were jumping with excitement when they raised the lid on their Mystery Box!

The students did not get any forward notice on what ingredients would be available to them, but even under these restrictions the dishes they all created were exceptional.  All students participated in great spirit and made the friendly competition exciting and fun for all. 

I take this opportunity to thank all the students who competed, as well as our wonderful judges Ms Gardner, Mr Roberts, Imogen Brain (Year 7) and Yaashana Khadka (Year 7).  Special thanks to Shay Vella (Year 11) and Anushka Sharma (Year 10) for their photography of the event.

Senior MasterChef was an amazing experience where students got to showcase their culinary expertise. I really enjoyed working with my partner, Ryan Wu, to create a visually beautiful and delicious tasting dish inspired by a croquembouche. 

The competition brought together many passionate cooks of all different skill levels and was a great learning opportunity. It was a very well organised event, and I am very thankful for Mrs Cruse and the SRC for putting together such a fantastic day. It is a memory that I will cherish.
