The winter weather has certainly arrived over the past week and we are also seeing a large number of students and staff absent due to illness. If your child is unwell please keep them home. This will help stop the spread across the school.
Just a reminder that all students need to be wearing school uniform. We understand it is cold and some students like to wear beanies. If this is the case they need to be navy and are not to be worn in class. We are in the process of arranging school beanies which will hopefully be available next term.
Material and Services Charge
You may have read about the state government’s initiative to provide a $100 discount on both the 2022 and 2023 Materials and Services Charge. I am pleased to provide you with a letter signed by the Premier and the Minister for Education, Skills and Training. The letter provides additional information about the initiative.

You don’t need to do anything at this stage. We will be processing the discount or rebate as a matter of priority, however there are preparations that we need to make. We will provide you with additional information shortly.
Mid Year Intake
The South Australian Government is introducing a mid-year intake into schools beginning in 2024.
What is mid-year intake?
A mid-year intake will allow parents to enrol students born in the middle of the year in school at a time that is more appropriate to their age and their stage of development.
When will mid-year intake commence in schools?
The mid-year intake for students starting school commences in 2024. For 2023, schools will continue with their single intake at the beginning of the school year, as per the current School Enrolment Policy.
How many terms of Reception will each child have?
Students who start school at the beginning of the year will continue to progress through 4 terms of Reception. Students who start school through a mid-year intake will complete 6 terms of Reception.
