On Thursday our annual Infant’s Christmas concert will be held. Each Infant’s class has been working hard on a different item for the show and the children are very excited. Today they performed for Year 3-9 and did a fantastic job. Parents, family and friends are all welcome to come and watch on Thursday at 11:30am in the school hall.
Year 5 & 6 and 4L have been studying water safety as part of their PDH program this term. On Wednesday students will have the opportunity to listen to information about boating safety presented by Lynda Hourigan, Boating Education Officer from Ballina.
On Thursday Year 3 will be going Kayaking at Lake Inverell. This will be an all day excursion. Students will paddle across the Lake and up the Macintyre River 4km. On the way up the river they will see pelicans, sea eagles and two sea eagles nest plus a variety of birds. The whole area is a bird sanctuary. They will have a BBQ lunch then head back down the river and lake before coming back to school. Students can wear plain clothes, need to be wearing sunscreen and can bring a water bottle on the day.
Students receiving awards at Commendation Assembly and Presentation Night should have received notes yesterday from classroom teachers. Commendation assembly starts at 12:00pm on Friday and Presentation night is next Monday at 7:00pm. Parents are invited and welcome to attend both events.
