Year 10 Surf Camp

Patterson River Secondary College’s last Outdoor Education camp saw our second class of year 10 students head off for 3 days of surfing and hiking at Wilsons Promontory National Park. With 26 students taking part in what was for most, their first experience hiking overnight, Wilsons Promontory’s weather definitely welcomed the students to the experience when it rained a total of 20mm across the three days. During the testing conditions, students walked 3 hiking trails (20km) and received 5 hours worth of surf lessons that they all completed with a big smile on their face.

Congratulations to all students who participated in the Outdoor Education program this year. 10 trips went out across remote, wilderness areas all over Victoria. The Outdoor Education Program is available for students from years 9-12.
