Emerging Leaders Program

Last Friday some year 10 students headed down to Melbourne on the train to attend the first of

3 sessions with the Boston Consulting Group and students from Manor Lakes College. We engaged in some group work on a cafe case study as well as reflecting on leadership, in particular young leaders throughout society. It was refreshing to gain some insight on what it is like to work in the Melbourne CBD and we are all eager to see what is planned for the next 2 sessions.

Twelve year 10 students attended the second day of the Emerging Leaders Program with Boston Consulting Group on Friday 9th August.  In the morning session they worked through several activities to improve their verbal and non-verbal communication strategies, identifying their strengths and weaknesses in these areas by recording one another. In the afternoon the students identified their own transferable skills from their extra-curricular activities, and how to include these in their CVs.
