Lifeguard Qualifications

There is an opportunity for students aged 16 years and over to complete a lifeguard course on the 15th and 16th of August.

There is also an opportunity to complete an Austswim course which will enable you to teach swimming. Both of these courses are being offered through Bluewater.

If any students would like to gain one or both of these qualifications or would like more information about these courses, then please contact Mrs Hawker or Bluewater directly - Kerrin Maywald: Kerrin.maywald@colacotway.vic.gov.au

Uniform Feedback

Students and staff were invited to a uniform review meeting with a Noone Clothing representative on Tuesday, July 26.

Students were asked to provide feedback about the Winter pants (both male and female) and summer shorts (female).

Students tried on various styles and unanimously voted for a pant style that is warm, comfortable and can be worn by both males and females.

Families and students who prefer the winter pants over the kilt (or current grey pants for males) are encouraged to call in to the uniform shop or reception and take a look at the new design. We are still reviewing the Summer shorts option for females.

Transport Updates

Please be advised travel and/or bus passes are no longer available to students using the government bus services for football training. Families are to make alternate arrangements.

Please be advised that with the winter weather upon us there has been a marked increase in vehicle traffic in and around the College. For the safety of our students, we ask that drivers not line up in the car park that causes an overflow onto Hart Street. Police will be monitoring traffic flow around the College to ensure safer collection of students after school.

Please note that face masks are required for transport on school buses.

Please ensure students travelling by bus carry a mask with them at all times.

Thank you for your support with this.

Reminder to town bus travellers

First half year bus passes expired on July 31st. New passes are available at Christians Bus Co Office 9am – 4pm  by phoning 52312203.

Passes are $118 and valid until Feb 2023 (this equates to half price travel).

Maths and English Tutoring

Maths and English tutoring is once again being offered for students in Years10-12.

Maths sessions are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3.30-4.30pm in the Resource Centre.

English sessions are held on Tuesdays from 3.30-4.30pm.

We encourage all students in Years10-12 needing extra assistance with English and Maths to attend.

Please register your attendance here:

Dental Van Visit

Students who registered for this week's Dental Van visit should already have an appointment time.

The van will be onsite again tomorrow (Thursday).

Lost Property

A reminder for students/families to check the lost property located at reception. We have gained a number of items from camps, Retreats and sporting events. If you are missing something we may have it at reception.

Collecting Students During School Hours

In line with our Student Procedural Expectations, we remind parents and carers that any student who needs to leave the College campus during school hours must sign out at Student Reception and must have either a written, signed note in their planner or a PAM notification sent through at the beginning of the day.

We highly recommend the use of the PAM portal for all appointments.

Simply log in to your PAM account at the beginning of the day, access Parent Notified Absences, and provide details including reason and time of pick up.

The appointment time then appears on the class roll and serves as a reminder for the class teacher.

Where possible, please ensure your child is well informed of the appointment time on the day. Collecting your child during break times is encouraged where practical, to allow for quick follow up.

We also remind all students, parents and carers that no student is permitted to use their mobile phone throughout the school day, so in the event that a student becomes ill during class time, they MUST attend Reception and make contact with families from there.
