YEAR 9/12 FORMAL

HAND BRAKE TURN

ASDAN

ASDAN classes have been hard at work this term. We are back at Westvale Community Centre for work experience. We look after three garden beds that should produce some great produce for students to take home. During community access students have been reading books, learning how to borrow and return books and find out where books of interest can be found at Sunshine Library. Students are learning how to find items in supermarkets from a shopping list. Independent living skills is a big part of the ASDAN program and we continue to develop basic meal making skills such as how to make a sandwich, cold and hot drinks etc.

LOWER SECONDARY

Over the last couple of weeks, the year 7/8’s have been very busy. They had their first travel education of the term to highpoint and enjoyed window shopping. The students enjoyed exploring the entertainment area and checking out time zone and the cinemas. For Inquiry, students made butter, lava lamps and more to see how liquids interact with each other and change form. For numeracy, the 7/8’s have been filling up their drink bottles to accurately measure bottles capacity and volume.
