Room 19

At the end of Term 2, we celebrated NAIDOC Week. We did this by creating a whole class dot painting which is now displayed on our classroom wall, it looks awesome. We started Term 3 with swimming lessons running over the course of Weeks 1 and 2. It was a fantastic way to start the term, and we had lots of fun at the Riverton Leisureplex, swimming with all of our friends. This term, we have begun to use the six thinking hats in our classroom. This helps us in all different types of learning and allows us the think deeply about topics. For example, we have used the six thinking hats to generate ideas about a persuasive writing piece, should animals be kept in cages? We also had great fun watching the fashion parade from Willetton Senior High school, demonstrating some amazing costumes.

Room 22

In Year 2 Room 22 we have been enjoying learning lots of different things. In English, we are learning to write letters. It has been fun creating letters and then replying to them. In Maths we have been doing interesting number problems involving subtraction. We have even started writing our own problems.

In Health we have been talking about our personal strengths, and in HASS we have been learning about the continents and oceans.

Our photos show us during a reading lesson and having fun in STEM being creative and making habitats for Australian animals.
