Learning, growing and celebrating together...

Oh to be a 5 (almost 6) year old again.  Life is good!

When one finally reaches that milestone, climbing to the top of the mountain, discarding their Prep ‘L’ plates after a long 99 days, they have to celebrate. 100 days of school - surely it doesn’t get much better than this...

These days, a lot can happen in the first 100 days of primary school. Here are some things we have watched from afar.

New words mastered and numbers committed to memory

Band aids applied and a few tissues used too

Some tears shed, but more laughs (and giggles) shared

Teeth have been lost (bank balances have grown)

Sniffs and coughs with a little bit of Covid mixed in

Lifelong friendships formed over snack time and games

Cute and cuddly soft toys brought to school as plus 1’s for the day

Enterprising shop owners - swapping twigs and seeds for sand cakes baked

Rocks relocated and daisies picked and plucked

Several Buddy hugs and tea cups sipped in the sun

Skinned knees, worn out shoes and a few buttons replaced

Countless footballs retrieved from over the fence

Slips, trips and falls with ice packs and rest required

New languages learnt and budding tennis stars developed

Thursday afternoon purple and green hands

Stones, bugs and other priceless possesions found in the washing machine

Friday Icy pole lips

Sleepy children (and teachers) come 3.15pm each day

Joyful greetings with parents, siblings and four legged friends after a long day

Happy and grateful children ready for the next adventure of learning and fun

CONGRATULATIONS to all our 100 day old Prep children.  You’ve finally made it! What a MAGNIFICENT achievement. We look forward to your next 100 days and beyond at Sacred Heart Kew.

WELL DONE to our brilliant and energetic teachers for all their hard work, support and guidance of our 100 day old graduates.

THANKS also to our Prep parents for all your support and trust in Sacred Heart Kew for your little ones.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend. Celebrate your inner Prep child if and when you get the chance.
