Boys' Boarding News

In the past week, the boarding boys have made the most of their learning opportunities.

On Friday night a group dropped into the BMX track with the hopes of trying their skills in the coming weeks during training nights. Bike riding has been a very popular past time. The boarding house is still looking for ‘pre-loved’ bikes for boarding use. If you have one you might like to donate, please contact me here. Thank you in advance!

This week saw Angas Baty complete Work Experience at the Alice Springs Veterinary Hospital, Keneifa do the ‘Welcome to Country’ at the Harmony Day Assembly, and then star as McKay’s runner in the Year 9 Ironman race.

The weekend activities included Mr Bailey taking those interested to the Dust Bowl for tenpin bowling, and on Sunday the boarders enjoyed a special meal where a number of visitors joined them before Chapel. We were lucky enough to have a guest singer, Cassie Williams perform.

Over the next couple of weeks we will see a few of the boys head home early for school break and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 2.
