Classroom News - Year 4
Mrs Ross and Mr Norrie
It has been an incredibly busy term for year 4 this term and we are glad that we've made it to the end of term with a class full of happy and smiley faces.
Year 4 took part in Reconciliation on Wednesday 31st March at school with the priests coming to St Mary's to provide the sacrament to Years 4 - 6
Year 4 have also been paying extra attention to the Stations of the Cross with the whole school assembly planned for Thursday the last week of term, where many of Year 4 will be reading.
Our final unit of Maths for the term has come to an end, adding and subtracting 2, 3, 4 and 5 digit numbers using mental strategies and using the formal algorithm for addition and subtraction. It has been challenging although it has been observed that the large majority of students enjoyed the challenge of working with bigger numbers.
Year 4 has been looking at and writing procedures using recipes and instructions to package our Easter egg. Year 4 can now tell you how to build and cook based on their knowledge of procedures.
Finally Year 4 have packaged and sent their Easter eggs through the post, please make sure that once the package arrives you take pictures of the event and the excitement of your child.
Mrs Ross and Mr Norrie would like to wish all of Year 4 and their families a happy and safe holidays.
