Year 12 Environment and Ethics Excursion

A few weeks ago, our Year 12 Food Studies class went to the Coles new flagship store in Moonee Ponds. This store is Coles newest sustainability concept store, which has been designed to set a new standard in supermarket sustainability and help Coles create opportunities to reduce its environmental impact into the future. The students had a fun day learning and seeing all the initiatives that Coles is currently trialing.

The day was exciting as this was the first time that we got any chance to go to a supermarket for school. Coles Moonee Ponds is one of the most advanced and ecofriendly supermarkets as they recycle more, have a fruit bar for juices, a macaroons bay, a wider range of groceries, more healthy pre-packaged meals and much more. 10/10 would go again meaning you should pick year 12 food studies.
