Junior School Sport

Every fortnight students participate in Junior School Sport to develop our students' gross motor skills. Here are some photos from last week's activities in F1CD.

Parent/Carers Reading Program

Thank you to all of the parents/carers who have supported our students throughout our Parent/Carers Reading Program. It has been wonderful to see our students so eager to share their reading with our volunteers. It has also been great for our parents/carers to connect and engage with our classrooms.

A reminder that students should be reading their take home readers and returning them to school each day! It is important that we start building up a routine from Foundation and setting aside some time at home to practice letters and sounds as well as decoding new words. Don't forget your child can read from BugClub, Reading A-Z (Spanish) and library books as well as our usual leveled books.

Science Works Excursion

The F1 students will be going on an excursion to Scienceworks on the 24th May. This links in with our Inquiry topic of how changes in our environment impact our daily life. We have already started learning about the weather and seasons in the classroom so this excursion will be a fun way to consolidate some of our learning so far.

Information for the excursion has been sent to all families through Sentral. Please ensure you submit your permission and payment by the 17th of May. A huge thank-you to all parents who have volunteered to help on the day. At this stage we have met the number of helpers we need.
