Asylum Seeker Resource Centre

Thanks so much to everyone who has donated to our Food Drive. We dropped off some donations to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre recently and they were so delighted!

The ASRC Foodbank provides free groceries to about 1,000 people every week, around half of them children. 

Many have fled their own countries because of problems there. Most have no income and can’t get a job. They are living very difficult lives. 

These are the items they need the most: 

• Tuna in oil  
• Tinned tomatoes  
• Tinned vegetable peas, corn, carrots
• Coconut cream
• Honey small bottles
• Black tea bags
• Pasta 500g packs penne, spirals, shells
• Full cream UHT milk  
• Soap bars
• Dishwashing liquid  
• Shampoo
• Conditioner

If you can all bring in one or two items a week, even a single can from your pantry, it would make such a big difference for people in need. 

You’ll find the collection bins outside the MPR, next to the canteen.
