Principal's Report

NAPLaN

Our year 3,5 and 7 students will be undertaking NAPLaN testing during weeks 3 and 4 this term.

These tests are online (apart form Year 3 writing) and students have all had a practice test to ensure all technology is working correctly and student logins are working.

Please ensure your child is at school to participate in the testing. We use the information from the tests to inform our priorities for individual student learning as well as a whole school.

Long Service Leave

I will be taking 5 weeks long service leave as of May 17th.

Sarah Crosby will take on the principal role in my absence and Sarah Robertson will take on the Deputy Principal role.

Governing Council AGM

This will be on Wednesday May 19th at 9:00am in the PAC.

We encourage families to join us for the meeting. Sarah will present the Annual Report.

We also encourage parents to nominate to join Governing Council. It is a great way to:

·         Meet other parents

·         Find out more about learning programs and the general functioning of the school

·         Have input into policy development for the school

Nomination forms are included in this newsletter or available from the front office

Please have your completed nomination forms to the front office by Friday May 14th.
