For National Science Week, the College’s Science Faculty turned on an array of moon themed lunch time activities to engage and ignite the scientific curiosity of our students. Despite the cold weather, students had a great time learning about the forces involved with rockets and the creation of moon craters.
The Rocket Launch was spectacular and somewhat mysterious, the rocket launched several hundred metres into the sky, the parachute unfurled, and it drifted off into the clouds! We hope it enjoyed its journey. The water and pop rockets were a real hit, the fun was in both the launching and the catching.
Thank you to the Science Staff who helped with these activities and to the students who took part in the fun.
