Library

Furnishing the renovated space:

Updates coming through from Library furniture suppliers daily, so many options, and we are nearing decision time. From tomorrow, there will be a display set up for anyone in the College community to look at some of the things we are considering and consider how it might be organised. The space as it is currently set out has been defined by the location of the biggest and heaviest shelves and the fact that so much of our current shelving must be against the wall. We welcome suggestions and plans from all who are interested.

Year 12:

Week 2 of examinations is nearly complete and the number of students having signed off on the Library part of their exit forms is quite healthy. It is always a sad moment when we sign the form and cross them off the printed list. This is shortly followed by removal from the catalogue. Hopefully their experience in our library has set them up for using other libraries in their future lives. We wish them all the best.

Years 3, 4 and 5:

While the Climate-Action project has formally concluded, we are still adding to some of our contribution. Feel free to browse the topics, which are set out by weeks and can be found here. It has been a real pleasure working with such enthusiastic teachers and students at Myrniong. The students have spent time looking at some of the other countries’ work. They feel justly proud of their creations.
