Boarding

Halloween

Last week our Halloween themed night turned many heads. Thanks to three Year 10 leaders, Ally Gray, Annabel Hetherington and Anna Spaull, we all enjoyed a spooky evening. The boarders were fantastic in the way they embraced the afternoon and dinner. Alfonso and his kitchen staff included into their meals some look-a-like cut fingers, trick or treat sweets, and some gruesome looking eyeballs in blood-like jelly. There were prizes for best mummy (wrapped in toilet paper) and best dressed. Our Year 8 girls, Ella Deland, Tori Dunsten, and Phoebe Russell, had taken the theme night to another level with their costume efforts. These nights are a fantastic way for the boarders to break up their week and have some genuine fun during dinners. Well done boarders.

BBQ Season is Here

Ahhhh, yes! The weather was certainly favourable for a BBQ last week. On Wednesday evening the boarders enjoyed the serene lawns of Myrniong. With plenty of salads, BBQ meat, icy cold drinks and culinary delights for dessert (Portuguese tarts!), the boarders were once again well looked after on a hot afternoon. As some commented, ‘I love these afternoons, they’re the best.’ Thanks Abbie Cameron and Nick Palmer, and to your wonderful children for the help.
