Years 7 & 8

Coordinator: Beth Alvarez

I am thrilled to be the Coordinator for Years 7 & 8 for 2019. My goals for our cohort this year are to foster respectful friendships and develop a place where students feel encouraged to voice their ideas, opinions or concerns, while having a laugh at the same time of course!

We have a great team supporting our Year 7s and 8s this year too. Home Group teachers will play an active role in their students’ wellbeing, adding to our amazing support network here at Preshil.

I share an office with Kris and John located on the ground floor of Blackhall next to the staff room.

Home Group teachers

Home Group begins promptly at 8.50am. Ideally, all students should arrive at school around 8.30am to give themselves enough time to be organised for an 8.50am start. Home Group is an important part of the day to welcome students, make connections, frame the day's learning, ensure that essential information is shared - and to mark the first roll of the day.
