Our First Day in Kindergarten

We had a wonderful first day! Everyone settled and found a learning experience they thought would be interesting. Children began to interact with others as they individually felt ready.  It was pleasing for us to see children use thoughtful strategies when they were unsure; holding a grown-ups hand, asking for help or observing others till they feel ready to try the activity.

Children were creative in the sand pit, climbing frame and throughout class activities. We made labels, solved puzzles, went on picnics, dressed our babies, built structures and roads, made light house table space ships, played dress-ups and it was pleasing to see so many children interested in books. They were curious and brave and everyone asked questions and explored.

We loved the first day and though hot, all children coped so very well!! All of the children were caring, inquisitive (inquirers) and showed courage.

We have begun to build our community! We look forward to seeing everyone next time!! We are so proud of you all!!
