The Loft Room - 6s & 7s
WELCOME
Welcome to all the 6s and 7s! Our first two days were HOT! HOT! HOT! And dare I say we are warming up for an exciting year all together. We have begun this term with a focus on getting to know each other and working together as a group.
We are developing a new classroom agreement and some common themes have emerged from the children in regards to wanting to be in a safe and happy environment that is a little bit noisy but not too noisy. Respect and responsibility were two words that we explored and we shared what respect and responsibility look, sound and feel like.
There are lots of new logistics in our room and we discovered where our bags are stored, where our book buckets are located and yes, there are three teachers. A big welcome to Oliver. It feels like he has been with us forever. We spent some time writing in small groups, some of us read to an adult and we all created self portraits using pencil and watercolour to create a wall of ‘Who We Are’.
