School photo day

Please be reminded that photos for the whole school will take place on Monday 24 February, commencing at 9am.

There will not be a 'catch up' photo day so it is important that your child attends on this day.

Individual student photos will automatically generate a student ID card; these are at no cost and Public Transport Victoria (PTV) approved .

2020 year level parent reps

Parents play a key role in our School.

As mentioned at the recent Information Nights, each year level has up to three parents who volunteer at the start of the year to act as parent representatives. This role could include the organisation of class social events, call out for volunteers at working bees and assisting at Open Mornings and tours. It is our families who make the School what it is and in this way parent reps can act as our ambassadors, welcome new families and assist communication between teachers and parents as appropriate.

Students benefit enormously from knowing their family is an important part of their school.

Thank you to those parents who have already offered. We look forward to hearing from parents in Years 8, 11 and 12 who might be interested in joining them. Please email Dan at daniel.symons@preshil.vic.edu.au

Friday afternoon games club

Preshil secondary students are warmly invited to come and play board games, card games and even role-playing games after school on Friday afternoons. No previous experience is necessary.

At the moment our regulars are primarily from Years 10, 11 and 12 but anyone (including staff and parents) is welcome. Players have a vast array of interests –some enjoy social bluffing games, some prefer games with tactics and strategy, some like cooperative games, some favour short games, others expect long ones (even those which require several weeks to complete), some play games they know and others come to discover ones they have never played before.

Games Club is run and supervised by current Years 10 & 12 parent Liam Routt and it is his vast library of games which he very generously makes available for our students’ enjoyment. If you would like to know more, Liam can be contacted at liam@routt.net

Recommencing Friday 21 February, we will meet at 3.30pm in the Library and go until around 6pm (sometimes later), but people head out when they need to. No need to book, just turn up and join in the fun!

Help wanted!

We are seeking assistance to collate packs for our upcoming Year 7 (2021) Tour and Open Morning.

If any parent has some time to spare from 9.30am on Tuesday 25 February please email nerel.ezra@preshil.vic.edu.au

Morning tea will be provided.
