End of term Hot Chocolate stall - thank you
The final day of Term 2 saw SKiPPA (our Parents' Association) run their traditional hot chocolate and biscuit stall. This event provides a lovely end-of-term celebration in the middle of winter.
As always the parents of SKiPPA did a great job in organising and running the stall and the wider community stepped up and made it a success by baking and donating the biscuits and turning up to spend money.
The event raised a little over $850 for the school and was a nice way to finish such a busy and successful term.
'Parental As Anything 2.0' - members needed
Earlier this year our parents' band 'Parental as Anything 2.0' took part in the Parents' Battle of the Bands event at the Prince Bandroom. The band are almost entirely new in 2023 after the majority of the founding members moved on at the end of last year due to their children graduating from SKiPPS.
As they establish themselves, the band are on the lookout for new members to play and sing with them.
If there are any parents or carers in our community who can play an instrument or enjoy singing, the band would love to hear from you. This is a great chance to get involved with an amazing group of parents who have a very social rehearsal routine and play at school events a couple of times a year.
If you are interested in joining them please email Sonya at sonyas123@gmail.com
Dads' Camp - save the date
Our parent-run Dads' Camp is taking place again this year at the Big4 Campsite in Wye River.
Whilst final arrangements are being put into place by the organising group of dads, they would like you to clear the decks and put the weekend of the 1st - 3rd December into your diaries.
Mums may want to start organising their child-free plans for that weekend!
Further details and booking information will follow later in the year.
