Principal's Message

As we near the end of this busy term, I wanted to take a moment to express gratitude for all the wonderful events and initiatives that have taken place at our school. It has been a whirlwind of activity at our little school. From sporting events to building works to fundraisers, and everything in between, it has been a short term but it seems like it has been packed with everything.

Looking ahead, we have an exciting Term 3 planned with lots of things planned for our students, aiming to provide even more opportunities for learning, collaboration, and fun. On behalf of the staff at Bolinda Primary School, I would like to thank you for your support in Term 2.

Woolworths Grant

We had some exciting news recently. Woolworths and Landcare Australia offered Bolinda Primary School a generous grant of $950.00 for our incredible project, the Indigenous Edible Plant Path. This grant provides Bolinda Primary School with the necessary resources to have created a unique pathway within the school grounds, featuring a variety of indigenous edible plants. While we have already completed the majority of the work, it now allows us to focus on other areas of the garden.

Reports

Our teachers have been busy writing Semester 1 reports and in doing so have been assessing students. These assessments serve as valuable tools to assess where students are academically and to provide feedback for their growth. While the Semester 1 reports offer a comprehensive overview of students' achievements, it is essential to remember that these reports are just a snapshot of their progress at a specific point in time. The upcoming Parent-Teacher Interviews in Term 3 is an opportunity for parents and teachers to come together, discuss the report, and gain a deeper understanding of where the child is at in their learning journey.

Parent/Teacher Interviews will run in the first two weeks of Term 3. Keep a lookout for the uEducateUs notification telling you when the bookings are open.

Whole School Celebration for Koopa's Birthday

I see students working beyond their best and as it is the final day of term, the teachers have cooked up a treat of a day. We're having a day of exciting celebrations to acknowledge students' hard work and effort. As we wrap up another incredible term, we have an extra special reason to celebrate. It's none other than Koopa's birthday!

Koopa, with his friendly nature, has become an integral part of our school culture. He's always there to lift spirits, receive a pat and spread positivity wherever he goes. Celebrating his birthday is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for all the happiness he brings to Bolinda. The theme of the day is PYJAMA PARTY. So we encourage all students to come dressed up for the day and get into the spirit. We love it when the whole school comes together so the staff are more excited than the children are. Keep on the lookout for further information next week.
