Week 7- Procedural Writing

This week in learning, 1/2 UR discovered the world of procedural texts. They explored a variety of wonderful types of procedures that included recipes and crafts. Text-specific vocabulary was learnt and applied to their writing. Students read and followed the steps to make fairy bread and, with a partner, enjoyed assembling the delicious treat together. After completing their recipe steps, students wrote their own procedural writing about their experience. They all claimed, however, the best part was the final step of eating the finished product. It was an exciting week for the 1/2s!
