Yarra Ranges Creative Showcase Exhibition

Current and recently graduated Emerald Secondary College students Ella Baker, Will Burchill, Ella Chawkley, Alyssa Dwyer, Eli Fernandez, Paige Ireson, Damian McKenna, Jade Poort, and Taran Seamer represented the school as part of the Yarra Ranges Creative Showcase exhibition. The Creative Showcase is an annual celebration of the creative talents of graduating students from across Yarra Ranges, and it was excellent to have so many students accepted into the exhibition.2021 School Captain and Valedictorian Ella Chawkley was also selected as one of 2 students to speak at last week’s opening night about the experience of creating works in VCE. 

The Creative Showcase is on display at Healesville’s Memo Gallery until Sunday February 27th, gallery opening times can be found here. 

Year 9 2D Art

To start the year, Year 9 2D Art students have been creating works inspired by American pop and street Artist Keith Haring. Students Tahlia Blackwell, Milla Boyd, Kristian Fotia, Luka Kill, Caitlin Koll, Elizabeth Males, and Katyn Russell have all livened up the area outside B Block and the Gym with chalk recreations of their works.
