WPS Community Children’s Garden

What a great start to the year for the lunchtime Kid’s Garden Club – 40 enthusiastic students helped Cath, Lizzy and I with a weeding blitz. We then cleared out a few overgrown garden beds, ready for planting next week. 

As a reward for all the hard work, there was a bounty of berries to feast on at the end of the session. Yummm!!!

With so many kids eager to work and learn in the garden, we’re always in need of volunteer parents to help supervise. See below for details. 

 Parent Volunteers needed: Weekly Gardening Sessions
Where:Woodend Community Children’s Garden (Buckland St, Woodend)
When: 12.40-2.00pm Mondays - parent help required to run lunchtime Kid’s Garden Club
 2.00-3.30pm Mondays - parent’s gardening group
BYO: Bring your enthusiasm and desire to join in (No gardening knowhow needed). Please wear sturdy shoes, gardening gloves and weather appropriate clothing. Pre-school age children are welcome too.
Sign in:Please sign in at the Office before gardening (proof of Working With Children Check and COVID Vax required).
