Swimming Carnival

Our first full school event was held on Friday, February 18 – the Auburn High Swimming Carnival.  What a fun day!  It was lovely to see our Year 7 students getting into the House spirit and competing in the pool as well as in the novelty events.  Year 12 students embraced their final swimming carnival dressing up and bringing the fun.  Throughout the day, the stands were mostly empty as students were participating in their events in the pool, as well as participating in novelty events such as Finska, spikeball, pétanque, and the egg and spoon races.  Despite Covid denying our Houses an opportunity to practice their chants, each House still managed to show their spirit led by their senior students.  Murdoch House took out the points for the House chants. A big congratulations to all students who competed, and especially those who were selected in the team for the Division swimming competition.

Finally, a huge well done and congratulations to HOLLOWS who won the overall competition!
