The Art of Rock 'n' Roll

Year 12 Visual Arts In Practice

This unit focuses on popular culture, current and historical, and the creation of artworks for a particular purpose, that being to promote a rock concert. 

Students investigate how the elements and principles of design can be effectively used to create meaning and achieve the intended design purpose of the artwork. Students identify key components that can be used by artists to focus and attract attention, inform an audience and promote events.

Our students have produced a limited-edition poster for public display using multiple plate lino printmaking techniques.
