Important Parent Information

Covid Positive Tests

Students who test positive to COVID -19 must have their positive result reported to the school by phone or the Student COVID Test Portal (login required), the department has published a new user guide. This is so the school can support them and record that they will be absent while in 7-day isolation.

The portal is designed to record a student’s COVID-19 test result and allows parents or carers to set up an account, add a child to that account then submit their COVID-19 test result into the system.

Collecting Students early

While we encourage parents and carers to make appointments for students outside of school hours we understand that sometimes this cannot be avoided.

If you need to collect your student from school early for an appointment please provide them with a written note in the morning. They will then be able to show their classroom teacher and be at the office waiting for you when you come in.

Personal Property

Personal property is often brought to school by students, staff and visitors. This includes mobile phones, calculators, toys, sporting equipment and cars parked on school premises. Please note that the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development does not hold insurance for personal property brought to school and will not pay for any loss or damage to such property.

Staff and students are discouraged from bringing unnecessary or particularly valuable items to school. Please ensure that all belongings your student does bring to school have their name clearly marked so that we can return lost items when they are handed in to the office.

If a student does need to bring a large sum of money, or other valuables, to school they may like to give those to the office to lock away safely for the day.

Andrew Fairley Avenue

We wish to advise our school community that delays may be experienced along Andrew Fairley Avenue as SPC manage seasonal demands and increase stoppages at the traffic light crossing. Factory group shift times also finish around the same time as school, so you may prefer to take an alternate route.

*Students walking along Andrew Fairley Avenue must also observe the traffic light signals and wait for SPC vehicles to cross.
