Performing Arts News

On Monday, 29th November, Chisholm and Lyons House had the opportunity to perform for each other their collaborative shows they have been working on this term, at the Richmond Theatre.

Each class was given a card suit, and wrote their show from scratch, with all students choosing their specialist area, including acting, scriptwriting, directing, choreography, musician, or technical crew, lighting, sound, projections, costumes and/or props.

Chisholm 1 (Clubs) Set their as a murder mystery in a Country Club.

Chisholm 2: (Diamonds) Set theirs at a celebrity red carpet talent show, where robbers plan to steal the diamond trophy!

Lyons 1: (Spades)

“In a gloomy world, with people unknown, lived the spades. The spades lived below the rich and wealthy, the Diamonds and Hearts. The Diamonds and hearts didn’t get along with the spades, because they thought the spades as pests, useless and a waste of space. But there was a girl, who wished to be rich and happy, her name was Nora. “A Spade’s Luxury” follows the journey of Nora as she discovers the wonderful life the diamonds and hearts live – but it comes at the expense of her friendships. It takes a battle for Nora to discover who she truly values”.

Lyons 2: (Hearts) “Alice in Wonderland, with a twist!”

Congratulations to all students for their amazing effort- you should be very proud of your accomplishment!

A huge thank you to Bridget Tellefson and Georgia McGeechan for their support with supervision and transportation.
