With the term almost over and the HSC just around the corner, many Year 12 students may be relying on early entry offers to secure a place at university. Students are reminded that it is still in their best interest to give the HSC their best efforts as they may find the early entry course they accepted is not to their liking and will need to rely on their ATAR and UAC preferences to get into a course they find more appealing.
Last Thursday, St Pius X College was lucky to have old boys Shane McDonald (2009) and Matt Davey (2019) from Dependabuild visit during lunch to discuss apprenticeship opportunities in construction within their company. It was great to see students from Years 9 to 12 interested in a vocational career give their full attention and ask questions during the short visit from our guests.
