BUSES
If you are a bus family and you are not intending to use the bus on the last day of term, please ensure you advise buses@bhcs.vic.edu.au in advance.
CANTEEN/CAFE HOURS:
The canteen will be closed tomorrow - Friday, 16 September. There will be no lunch orders on this day.
Treetops Cafe will stop food service at 11.00am. They will be open for drinks until 1.00pm.
RECEPTION/OFFICE HOURS
We would like to inform families that the office/reception will close this Friday, 16 September at 4.30pm and re-opens Monday, 3 October (Curriculum Day) with phones open from 12.00pm-4.00pm.
Full office hours will re-commence on Tuesday, 4 October, 8.30am-4.30pm.
TERM 4 DATES
For all students, Term 4 begins Tuesday, 4 October.
The last day of classes for Term 4 is as follows:
Year 12: Last day of classes- Friday, October 14
Kinder- Year 11: Friday, December 9 (normal finish times)
Kinder: 3.00pm
Prep- Year 6: 3.15pm
Year 7- Year 11: 3.30pm
SUMMER UNIFORM CHANGEOVER
From the beginning of Term 4, all students will be required to wear the full summer uniform including a hat when outdoors at recess and lunchtime.

STUDENTS WITHDRAWING IN 2023
Parents are reminded that if your circumstances have changed and your child is not returning to BHCS in 2023, the school requires one term’s notice in writing. Please provide this notice by no later than the first week of Term 4.
LOST PROPERTY
Our Lost Property area at Student Services is VERY full! If you have lost spectacles, school uniform items, drink bottles, toys, books, casual clothing, there is a very high chance it is in our lost property.
Parents of Junior school students - please be reassured that we are actively clearing out items from the Junior School lost property area, hallways & playground. We are returning any named items direct to the student and un-labelled items brought down to student services
We strongly encourage all parents to ensure that ALL uniform items are clearly labelled on both tags.
NEW PRIMARY BASKETBALL/NETBALL COURTS
Over the term break the top car park will be sealed. This space will be used as an additional, new basketball and netball court space from the beginning of Term 4. A netball ring will be installed for the left court and a basketball ring for the right court. The project will include new fencing, rings, asphalt and line markings. The car park will still be available for parking before and after school, but will be sectioned off to cars during the school day. You can view a plan of the new courts underneath.
AFTERNOON TEA FOR PREP - YEAR 2 FAMILIES
We invite you to join together for a casual Afternoon Tea here at school while the "Stay Late" program is on for students.

MUSIC LESSONS UPDATE
After a lengthy break, I'm very pleased to announce that we now have a piano teacher at BHCS again. Carole Morse, a BHCS parent herself, has recently completed training in the Simply Music Method employed by long-standing piano tutor David Bremner and she is keen to welcome students next term. Interested families can access application forms from the Parent Resources section of the school website.
