A BHCS Student Success Story

BY CHAUNTELLE WOLFAARDT (CAREERS DEPARTMENT)

They are called OBG Productions. Where Covid19 drained most of us, these Year 12 BHCS students took the bull by the horns, saw an opportunity and grabbed it with both hands. What started off as a hobby has successfully grown, in size and range of events, over the past two years.

Blaise C, Oskar S and Geordie D managed to get a gig, working for the Yarra Ranges in lockdown, capturing the tourist attractions of the Yarra Valley.

They are now working alongside big names in the industries showcasing luxurious corporate events, i.e. weddings, film premieres, corporate dinners, as well as a series of boxing events across Victoria.

Their plan is to continue working in the business rather than going to university as they are learning so much by working in the industry. Success does not always come from having a qualification, sometimes a good mix of risk-taking, passion, hard work, and dedication can create that once-in-a-lifetime dream come true.
