Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach the halfway point in the term there is already much to celebrate at Sacred Heart School. 

Congratulations to our students who represented SHS at the Diocesan swimming carnival in Gunnedah last Friday. We wish our PP5 relay team consisting of Evie, Xanthia, Coen and Oscar and Grace who qualified in the Junior Girls 50m Breaststroke even the very best on the qualification to the NSWCPS (Polding) swimming carnival in Sydney at the end of March.

We will be having our first PTF meeting this Tuesday 28 February commencing at 5:30pm. A Zoom link will be sent out and all are welcome.

Also the first meeting of the School Advisory Council will be on Tuesday 7 March at 5:30pm. 

Personal Plan meetings will be held on Wednesday 8 March. You will be contacted if your child is on a PP and will require a planning meeting for Semester 1. Meeting times will be sent through as an event on Compass.

NAPLAN assessments this year have been moved from May to MARCH. Please go to the Important Information tab for a detailed description about NAPLAN and the dates of each assessment.

Advertising for our 2023 transition program has commenced. If you know of anyone wishing to enrol their child for 2024 and participate in the transition program this year, please let me know. Program details and enrolment forms are available by contacting Ms Traynor in the Office.

If you know of anyone who is intending to enrol at Sacred Heart either in Kindergarten or any other year group for 2023, please encourage them to contact me at school.
