Student Success Stories
Year 10 students and accomplished runners Chloe Winders, Chloe Lewis, Izzy Lewis and Mizuki Roche achieved impressive results at the Regional Relay Championships in December and followed by the State Relay Championship in early February. They are all members of the Mentone Little Athletics Club. MGSC was well represented! The results for the events they participated in:
Regional Relay Championships
- U17 4 x 100m relay - Gold - Chloe L
- U17 4 x 200m relay - Gold - Chloe L and Chloe W
- U16 4 x 100m relay - Gold - Mizuki and Chloe W
- U16 4 x 200m relay - Gold - Mizuki
- U16 4 x Medley relay - Gold - Mizuki, Chloe L and Chloe W
State Relay Championships
- U17 4 x 200m relay - Silver - Izzy L, Chloe L and Chloe W
- U16 4 x 100m relay - Silver - Mizuki and Chloe W
- U16 4 x 200m relay - Bronze - Mizuki
- U16 4 x Medley relay - Silver - Mizuki and Chloe W
It will be very interesting and exciting when they return to the track for the House Athletics Carnival in term 2. That will be followed by many opportunities to represent MGSC during the year.
