Learning and Teaching Update

'We aim to provide a school environment where ‘Every person can flourish and be known’ This means that our teaching program identifies the unique needs of each individual student, and delivers a learning program designed to grow them into the best person that they can be'.

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had two very busy weeks at school with swimming.

The students seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed the program this year and it has been a pleasure to visit the pool occasionally and observe the enjoyment on their faces.

Our teachers have been busy teaching and assessing students these two weeks as they engage with the task of report writing. Student reports will be distributed in the last week of term, and parents will then have the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress in a conference with the teacher and student.

I had the pleasure of taking our cross country students with Mr Harisiou and Andrew to Wachter Reserve on Thursday, 26th May. Our students are true stars when it comes to representing our school at these events. Not only was I impressed with their perseverance to complete the course, but their sportsmanship and support of each other was truly admirable. They were constantly cheering the runners on and waited for them at the finish line to offer their congratulations or support. They were also models for good behaviour at the event and we are so proud of each and every one of them.

Of course, we have five superstars - Dylan, Francesco, Brooke, Aviel, Beka who have made it to the Division cross country. Congratulations to each of them.

I wish all of you a safe and happy weekend.

Kind regards

Glennis Kerr
