Grade 6 and Prep Buddies 2022 

A New prep - 6 Adventure

This year, whilst a little delayed because of restrictions, we have started a new buddy adventure. This initiative is to strengthen our new preps and existing Grade 6 students' feeling of belonging to our school. 

The grade 6 students are allocated one or two preps for the year and together they complete activities together, read books, talk to their buddies and learn from each other. The program runs once every two or three weeks and is planned and facilitated by Prep and grade 6 teachers. 

What about our other classes?

Our other classes (1/2, 3/4 and grade 5) still have buddies. They also complete tasks together, have lunch together and help each other out in general. They also sit together during our Friday masses.  

Our grade 5 students have a special mission. Their task is to get ready for our 2023 preps. They learn about being a good buddy and what to expect when you are a buddy. The grade 5 students will meet their new buddies at the end of this year, during the prep orientation.
